SEO Boostly ("we", "our", or "the App") is operated by Upon Innovation LLC. This policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you install or use our Shopify application.

1. Information We Collect

When you install and use SEO Boostly, we collect:

  • Store information: Your Shopify store domain, store name, email address, and locale/currency settings provided by Shopify during app installation.
  • Product and page data: Product titles, descriptions, meta titles, meta descriptions, URLs, images, and alt text from your Shopify store, used to perform SEO audits and generate optimization suggestions.
  • Usage data: Actions you take within the App (e.g., running audits, applying fixes), timestamps, and feature usage patterns.
  • Billing information: Subscription plan selection and billing status, managed through Shopify's billing API. We do not collect or store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App's SEO audit and optimization features.
  • Generate SEO recommendations, meta tag suggestions, alt text, and structured data for your store.
  • Track keyword rankings and page performance metrics for your store.
  • Manage your subscription and enforce usage quotas.
  • Send transactional communications related to your account or the App.
  • Monitor and improve App performance, stability, and security.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide App functionality:

  • OpenAI: Product and page content may be sent to OpenAI's API to generate SEO suggestions, meta descriptions, and alt text. Data is sent only when you initiate an AI-powered action.
  • DataForSEO: Used for keyword research and search volume data. Store URLs and keywords may be shared with DataForSEO.
  • Google PageSpeed Insights: Your store URLs are sent to Google's PageSpeed API to retrieve performance metrics.
  • Render.com: Our application infrastructure is hosted on Render.com.
  • Resend: Used for sending transactional emails.

4. Data Retention

We retain your store data and SEO audit history for as long as the App is installed on your Shopify store. When you uninstall the App, we delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the third-party services listed above, as necessary to provide App functionality. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage of API tokens, and access controls on our infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. Shopify store owners can also request data deletion by uninstalling the App.

8. GDPR Compliance

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process personal data based on legitimate interest (providing the service you installed) and your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the App.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App or on our website with a revised "Last updated" date.
